2020 Presenter Proposal


    The 2020 Washington State Employment Law & HR Conference will be held in March 2020 in the greater Seattle/Bellevue area. We invite you to submit your proposal to be a presenter at the conference. Based on past years, we anticipate roughly 700 HR & Business professionals will attend the conference. This event attracts attendees from across the state of Washington in a variety of industries.

    Interested in being a speaker? We are now accepting proposals for 2020!

    •         Are you an experienced, engaging speaker who has recognized expertise in business management, leadership, or HR-specific skills?
    •        Are you a HR practitioner whose organization has implemented innovative and ground breaking solutions?
    •        Can you help WA State SHRM provide the BEST HR conference and provide our HR practitioners and attendees in Washington with the most comprehensive professional development available?

    If so, we invite you to submit a proposal to share your experience and expertise with your colleagues in human resource management. Others will benefit from your experience while you make a valuable contribution to the profession’s field of knowledge.

    The call for presentations will end on August 31. Please complete your submission by that date to be considered. All submissions will receive a response no later than October 1.

    Please note, Washington State SHRM, an affiliate of SHRM, has a tradition of using educational conference sessions as a platform for innovation in the field of Human Resources.  We are looking for contributors who are willing to share their expertise without expectation of payment in the spirit of networking, a purpose for which the council was founded.

    Please provide your proposed presentation/workshop title for your presentation/workshop. WA State SHRM reserves the right to modify the title.
    Please provide a description of your presentation not to exceed three paragraphs as well as the learning objectives. Please list at least three specific learning objectives of the presentation/workshop (bullet points or a short paragraph) including how the speaker will help the audience achieve the objectives including tools for the participant to take back to their workplace. The description will be used for the website, conference program and for the SHRM and HRCI professional development credits application process. WA State SHRM reserves the right to modify the description and learning objectives.
