    Session Title:  De-escalation in the Workplace

    Presenter: Malynda Green

    Session Description:  Have you found yourself trying to communicate with someone who is upset and starting to get aggressive?  Have you had a person blow up and not seen it coming?  There are signs and ways to de-escalate the situation.  From body language to key phrases will help to possibly avert an explosive situation.

    You will learn:

    • Levels of behavior and appropriate response
    • Ways to use body language to advantage
    • Limit setting
    • When to take it seriously

    Presenter Description:  Malynda Green works S&S Security Services which contracts to Harrison Medical Center for 25 years.   She has an Associates Degree in Homeland Security Emergency Management.  She is an instructor for Crisis Prevention Institute (Non-violent Crisis Intervention, MOAB International (Management of Aggressive Behavior) and Center for Personal Protection and Safety (Intimate Stalker and Violence, Workplace Violence and Active Shooter).  With 25 years experience in healthcare, Malynda understands the need to learn de-escalation techniques.
