WA State SHRM Board Application

    Applications for open positions are being accepted through October 20th for the 2018 Washington State SHRM Board. Service on a volunteer board is a great way to expand your network. In addition, while serving as a WA State SHRM Director you will have opportunities to strengthen your project management skills while giving back to the HR profession.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Current SHRM members may apply to serve as a Director with WA State SHRM. These are volunteer roles and WA State SHRM is a non-profit 503(c)(3) organization.

    Washington State SHRM meets in-person four times per year in different regions of the state. All other meetings are virtual. Directors of WA State SHRM are required to attend 75% of WA State SHRM meetings in the year they serve.  Terms are 12 months, with the option of serving two additional years.

    WA State SHRM provides reasonable reimbursement to all volunteers who are required to travel on behalf of the organization. Much of what the Board accomplishes is completed virtually, minimizing travel and time impact on volunteers.
